Lần đầu tiên tôi nghe bài hát này đã từ rất lâu rồi! Đó là lúc MTV mới vào VN và bọn chúng tôi phải chờ dài cổ cả tuần mới được xem một chương trình vào tối ngày thứ 4.

Tôi nghe True Colors lần đầu tiên do Phil Collins hát. Giọng hát trầm ấm của Phil và hình ảnh những đứa trẻ trong clip đã khiến tôi yêu bài hát này ngay từ lúc ấy.

Sau này tôi có biết bài hát này được Billy Steinberg và Tom Kelly viết và đã được Cyndi Lauper trước đó rất thành công trong album thứ hai của cô. Tuy nhiên tôi đã không tìm được bản True Colors nào do Cyndi thể hiện.

Cách đây 2 tuần tôi có down một folder nhạc có tên là All love song. Tình cờ trong số 20 bài hát ấy, tôi đã có được True colors do Cyndi Lauper hát. Và với True colour, bản nào cũng cho tôi những cảm xúc thật đặc biệt:
